I never want to eat meat again!!! i might just change to be vegetarian. for new years their tradition is roast lamb, and boy did we eat roast lamb...on new years eve we had to be in our house at 9:30, so we didn´t do much that day, they told us we had to work like normal. ....well we worked like normal...or at least as normal as you can when no one wants you to enter their house. haha, we walked a ton... but then new years day we were supposed to work a normal day as well....(supposed to) we left in the morning and the streets were deserted. then we had lunch with the gomez family and they picked us up and told us we were going to have lunch at their grandparents house in campo. so we drive 20 minutes out into the country thinking we were going to have a quick delicious lunch and they´d drive us back....well, when we arrived hermana gomez is all ¨i hope you know that you´re going to be here all afternoon with us¨ i just looked at my companion worried, thinking what in the world we were gonna do, but what could we do? they were determined not to bring us home after lunch because ¨there were too many drunk people out¨ so, we ended us staying with them out in the country all day long. and we ate a TON of lamb, cake and soda. i never want to eat again. but at least we enjoyed the new year. i discovered the new year here is the equivalent of our thanksgiving, so i figured it was ok cuz i didn´t celebrate thanksgiving at all this year.
bueno, so i´m dying in the mission and i think my body knows it. haha, i was sick all week with a sore throat and some infection that reached my eyes and my whole body just aches. but i was stubborn and refused to call the mission nurse cuz i thought it´d pass in 3 days. well...it didn´t. so on the 7th day when my sore throat got worse i finally decided to call and she put me on some medication. i feel a bunch better now :) (well...my back still hurts but whatever..)
We´re still working hard, we talked with so many people this week ....maybe that´s what caused the sore throat ;) haha, but seriously, we didn´t let anyone pass without talking to them. oh, and tomorrow we travel to osorno for leaders conference!!!!
we went to aysen today and took a little tour with the other hermanas, we went to a waterfall and some other super pretty places....
y....eso. i´m loving life, enjoying every minute y yup....
